James H. Clark, 92, of Kent, died Tuesday, November 11, 2014.
He was born October 21, 1922 in Dubois, PA to Charles H. and Edna (Ord) Clark. He retired in 1984 from the Streetsboro Post Office. He then worked for many years at Oak Knolls Golf Course. He was a member of the Kent United Methodist Church and the Rockton Lodge #316 F&AM, where he served as secretary for many years. He also was a member of the York Rite Bodies - Chapter, Council and Commandery. He received a distinguished service award for the Royal Arch Masons and his 60 year Masonic pin. He was also a life member of the Olive Chapter #53 Order of the Eastern Star.
He is survived by his daughters, Diane (Norm) Ludick of Kent, Beth (Kevin) Stoneking of Diamond, and Amy (Thomas) Rose of Kent; grandchildren, Matthew (Ave) Polack, Kevin Stoneking Jr., and Samantha Stoneking; great grandchildren, Maria Incrivaglia, Meagan Harmon, Ella Polack, and Ava Polack; brother, Warren Clark of Massillon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eloise Clark; and sisters, Millicent Lowther and Shirley L. Gemberling.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 16th at 1:00PM at Bissler and Sons Funeral Home. Masonic services will be held at 12:45PM. Funeral services will then be held at 2:00PM with Rev. Douglas Denton officiating. Private burial will be at Standing Rock Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Rockton Lodge #316 F&AM, 409 West Main Street, Kent OH 44240.
