James Arthur Dennis, 84, of Twin Lakes, died Thursday, January 10, 2013.
He was born November 26, 1928 in Marietta to Joseph Arthur and Grace M. (Treap) Dennis. He was a veteran of the Army and served during the Korean war. He worked as a Journeyman carpenter for Local 639 in Akron for 43 years and retired after holding the position of Union President. The family would like to thank Harbor Light Hospice and Maplewood Care Center for all their love and care.
He is survived by his wife, Clara J. (Belmonte) Dennis, to whom he married for 61 years; daughters, Diane (Edward) Meacham of Kent, Debbie (Rick Pazik) Long of Port Hadlock, WA, and Patricia (Ted) Badalamenti of Norton; son, David Dennis of Kent; grandchildren, Sheri of Kent, Jacob of Kent, Corina (Brandon) of Seattle, WA, Aaron of Seattle, WA, Jenny of Norton, OH, and Amy (Scott) of Aurora; great grandchildren, Cameron of Copley, Klapton of Kent, Tyson of Seattle, WA, Elan of Seattle, WA, Frankie of Aurora, and Charlie of Aurora;. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Nicholas J. Dennis.
Calling hours will be held 6-8 PM Wednesday, January 16th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent where funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, January 17 with Kevin O'Brien officiating. Burial will be held at Standing Rock Cemetery.
