Jean Marie Alspach, 90, of Ravenna, died peacefully Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at her home.
She was born April 25, 1927 in Akron to Lloyd and Ethel (Morrison) Brackin. Jean married the love of her life John W. Alspach Sr. on February 19th, 1944 in Ft. Worth, Texas. Jean and her family raised purebred goats at her farm in Rootstown. She was a lifelong member of the ADGA. After the goats, she owned her own children's consignment "One to Grow On" in Kent.
She is survived by her sons, Dave (Kim) Alspach of Ravenna, John Alspach of Topeka, KS, and Jeffrey (Beverly) Alspach of Orion, MI; daughter, Susan (Mike) Thomas of Kent; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Alspach Sr.; daughter, Jean Marie (Peachy) Spencer; and sisters, Audrey Pitney and Alice Sandusky.
Burial will be held at Rosehill Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be announced and held at a later date.
