Jean Marie Gorman, 78, of Stow, died Monday, November 18, 2013 at Akron General Hospital.
She was born January 1, 1935 in Cleveland to Francis P. and Theresa M. (Carmigiano) Pero. She was a member of Haven of Rest Rescue Mission volunteer for many years; past president and executive officer Streetsboro American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 685; Akron Bible Church; and currently attended Holy Family Parish in Stow.
She is survived by children, Carol (Joseph) Johns of Kent, David A. (Robin) Meditz of Sebring, Theresa (Greg) Green of Ravenna, Michael W. Meditz of Clearwater, FL, and Linda Sommers of Kent; fourteen grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Gorman; grandson, Chad Meditz; and brother, Anthony Pero.
Calling hours will be held 2-4 PM Friday, November 22nd at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent with funeral services at 4:00 PM with Fr. Ed Holland officiating.
