Jeanette Chahuan Ricco, 74, of Kent, died Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at her home.
She was born May 8, 1942 in Loncoche, Chile to Jorge and Amelia (Herane) Chahuan. Jeanette was a retired Spanish teacher for the Ravenna City Schools. Jeanette loved nature. She belonged to the World Wildlife Federation, Nature
Conservancy, and the World Wildlife Fund. One of her favorite pastimes was watching "her" birds in the backyard feeders and also watching the squirrels run around.
She is survived by her husband, Samuel B., whom she married in June of 1978; son, George Dante Ricco of Lexington , KY; sister, Elizabeth Chahuan of Valdivia, Chile; sisters-in-law, Glenda Chahuan of Loncoche, Chile, Juani Bonilla Chahuan of Loncoche, Chile, and Katty Carraha Chahuan of Loncoche, Chile; niece, Monica Chahuan Paredes of Loncoche, Chile; nephew, Eduardo Chahuan of Loncoche, Chile; cousins, Patricia Chahuan, Maria Loreto Radic Herane, Eduardo Herane, and Patricio Herane; and second cousins, Juan Carlos Carraha, Jorge Patricio Carraha , and Paola Carraha. She was preceded in death by her parents,; and brothers, Washington, Nelson, and Jorge; and aunt and uncle, Lucia and Carlos Chahuan.
Calling hours will be held 5-8 PM Friday, August 19th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory in Kent.
