Jerrold B. Hoover

Jerrold B Hoover, 91, passed away Monday, March 17, 2025 at Danbury Senior Living.

He is survived by his son, Richard Hoover and his wife Cory from Toledo, Ohio. He was preceded in death by Angelina Hoover, his wife of 65 years.

He was Born in Alliance, Ohio, January 12, 1934 to Herbert V and Esther M Hoover. He was raised by his Aunt and Uncle, Lillian and Jess Little (Mom & Dad) from age 4 after his Mother's death.

A graduate of Garfield High in 1952 he entered the Goodyear Apprentice Program as a machinist trainee and he received the Litchfield Medal on graduation in 1957. He was also a graduate of the Goodyear Engineering Squadron and enjoyed a 38 year career with Goodyear primarily in Quality Control areas. He was Manager of Quality at Plant B Vinyl and Plant 2 Tires in Akron and at Union City, TN. He received an Industrial Management degree from the University of Akron in 1972. He married Angie Dennis in 1955 and was the handyman and lawn and garden person at home. He was a resident of Tallmadge since 1977 and a retiree since 1991. He and Angie enjoyed following local music and the wildlife care and feeding in their backyard.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no services. In lieu of other remembrances, take a friend - old or young - out to music and dinner.
