Joanne "JoJo" Marie Giovinazzo, age 75, of Stow, OH, passed away on Saturday, June 18, surrounded by family at her home.
Joanne was born June 25, 1946 in Ravenna, OH to the late Angelo and Josephine (Zampelli) Battaglia.
JoJo loved nothing more than her family and friends. She was always there for you no matter what, would literally give you everything and leave herself with nothing. Her laugh was contagious, she had a serious addiction to popcorn, enjoyed playing cards, drinking wine, eating Italian sausage and peppers, putting together vegetable trays for gatherings, watching her shows, and boasting about everyone's accomplishments. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, siblings, cousins, and friends. JoJo will be missed every day, until we all meet again.
She is survived by her son, Larry Giovinazzo (Amy), grand-daughters Ashley (Will Sloan), Gabriella and grandson Vincent. Her siblings Providence (Prov) Brown (Larry), Angela "Sis" Brown (Jim), Nick Battaglia (Sylvia), Marie Beavers (Doug), Toni Hucks (Henry) and Angelo (Duke) Battaglia (Yvonne). Her godchildren Jamie Makebakken, Lisa Cope, Tracy Camara, and James Brown; former spouse, Lawrence Giovinazzo Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents.
