John Martin Faltisco

John Martin Faltisco, 64, of Stow, passed away Friday, November 19, 2010 at the Hospice Care Center in Copley. He was born May 8, 1946 in Ravenna, to James F. and Mildred Marie (Durlin) Faltisco. He was a veteran of the Army during the Vietnam war. He was a 1964 graduate of Kent Roosevelt High School and received his Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Kent State University. He retired from Star Forms as Regional Sales Manager. John was a fifty year member of the United Methodist Church of Kent. He was a member of the Men's Work Group at church, church Bible Study, Kent Garden Club. John loved sports especially Kent State and Mt. Union. John loved and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife, Isobel(Smith) Faltisco, whom he married on May 28, 1985; son, Michael (Racquel) DeRose of Kent; daughters, Heather (Christopher) Beck of Cuyahoga Falls and Michelle (Andy) Szucs of Bellbrook; grandchildren, Katie DeRose, Joseph Watts, Nicholas DeRose, Alexandrea Watts and Riley Beck and Rachel DeRose-Brown; great grandson, Jaden DeRose; brothers, James A. (Patricia) Faltisco of Ravenna and Bill (Linda) Faltisco of Ravenna; sisters, Susan (Craig) Hollinger of Kent; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be held 7-9 PM Tuesday, November 23 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 24 at the United Methodist Church of Kent with Rev. Dr. David Palmer and Rev. Douglas Denton officiating. Burial will be in Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Visiting Nurse, 3358 Ridgewood Drive, Akron, OH 44333.
