John R. “Jack” Graham, age 82, died on Monday, December 5, 2022 in Hudson, OH.
Jack was born to Thomas and Bessie (Watson) Graham in Braidwood, Illinois on January 6, 1940.
He was a Professor of Psychology at Kent State University for 47 years and served in a variety of administrative positions at KSU. His most lasting contribution to Psychology is a graduate-level textbook on personality assessment (MMPI) that has been in continuous publication since 1977. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend and we will miss his loving ways, quick wit and infectious smile.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Parris Stephens of Hudson; son, John R. Graham, Jr. of Brecksville; daughter, Mary K. (Graham) Bruns of Kent; stepdaughter, Camille S. Stephens of Kent; six grandchildren, Kyle Graham of Cleveland; Katherine Graham of Bowling Green; Michael Graham of Columbus; Stephanie Bruns of Memphis, Tennessee; Sydney Bruns of New York City; Jesse Gramuglia of Kent; and two great-grandchildren, Caiden Stephens of Kent; Caleb Stephens of Akron. He is preceded in death by son, David M. Graham and granddaughter, Chelsea S. Stephens.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The family requests that contributions in his memory be sent to Kent Social Services, S. Water St., Kent, Ohio 44240.
