Jonathan Evans

Jonathan P. Evans, 73, of Rootstown, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. He was born in Youngstown, OH on November 7, 1951 to the late Jonathon and Marguerite Evans and was a graduate of Devry University, with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

Jon was employed as an electrical engineer and manager of the engineering lab at Ametek. He proudly served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam War veteran. He volunteered for over 8 years at Pegasus Therapeutic Horse Farm. Jon loved horses and enjoyed riding ATV’s. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves his loving wife Debra Evans; son Eric M. (Jennifer) Evans; grandchildren Mackenzie and Justin; brother Charles (Beverly) Evans and sister Michelle Evans.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the Doctors, Nurses and staff at Seidman Cancer Center at UH Cleveland.

In honoring his wishes, Jon will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 10:30AM at the Military Family Center, 5495 Meese Rd. NE Louisville, OH 44641.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made, in his name, to Pegasus Therapeutic Horse Farm, 7490 Edison St. NE Hartville, OH 44632.
