Joyce Rosalie (Geisinger) Sitko, 93, of Kent, went home to the Lord on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Altercare of Hudson. Born June 19, 1924 in her home at 123 Elm Street in Kent to Howard and Lillian (Long) Geisinger.
Early in life, Joyce tapped dance for 15 years with Helen Beitz dance studio in Kent. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1942 and had been a resident of Kent all her life. She worked for Twin Coach in Kent before she married Michael Sitko on June 22, I946. They celebrated 52 years of marriage before his death in 1998. Joyce was a den mother for Cub Scouts, member of the Golden Rule Grandmothers Club of Kentway Retirement Center and Kent American Legion Post 496 Ladies Auxiliary.
She leaves her nine children: Tom (Donna) of Columbus, Ed (Kathy), Jere, Florence Valerie, Michelle (John) Martin, Ron, Cynthia, Pam (Dan) Ray, Chuck (Mary K.) all of Kent. She is the grandmother of 13 and great-grandmother to 17. She was preceded in death to her husband, Michael; brother, Gordon Geisinger; sister, Margery (Joe) Roberto; and in-laws, Charles and Valeria Sitko.
A member of Christ Episcopal Church of Kent all her life. She enjoyed sewing, dancing, and time with her children, grandchildren, and their many friends.

Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday May 29th at Christ Episcopal Church, 118 South Mantua Street in Kent and officiated with Reverend Julie Blake Fischer and her husband Kip Colgrove. The family will receive friends from 12-2:00 pm. Donations may be sent to Christ Episcopal, 118 South Mantua Street, Kent.
