Judith Fear
It is with deep sadness that our family announces the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Judith Susan Reynolds Fear. Judy is survived by her husband Robert “Bob” Fear, as well as four children (Jeffrey, Douglas, Sally, and Elizabeth), eight grandchildren (Chad, Tyler, Zachary, Madeline, Mason, Griffin, Presley, and Aitana), and four great -grandchildren (Brielle, Jaxson, Bennett, and Carter).
Judy held strong beliefs surrounding service, kindness, and devotion to family and friends, exemplified by a favorite quote: “I shall not pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any human being let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I may not pass this way again” (Unknown). Judy embraced opportunities to provide love, care and overall well-being to others, many of whom became life-long extended members of her family, including James and Catherine Evans.
Judy’s giving and caring nature was demonstrated through her work at Akron Children’s Hospital where she always served as an advocate for patients and family. She practiced as a Registered Nurse, eventually serving as Assistance Director of Nursing. After her retirement, Judy remained active in her community as an assessor of child home safety for Portage County.
Bob and Judy, who were married for 61 years, met while studying at the University of Michigan. Later, they cheered “Go Blue” at many football games as they were proud season ticket holders for their alma mater. For those who wish to remember Judy, the family encourages supporting Habitat for Humanity or the Humane Society in her honor.
