Karen E. Grund, 60, of Brimfield, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Colony Healthcare Center, with her family by her side. She was born in Germany on September 27, 1961 to Ronald C. Mohlmaster I and Patricia Mohlmaster.
Karen was employed as a nursing assistant with Green Family Practice. She was a member of Church on the Boulevard and the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation. She enjoyed crafting and was an excellent jewelry maker.
The most important aspect of Karen’s life was her family. She loved them deeply, especially her grandchildren. They were the light of her life. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her father Ronald C. Mohlmaster I; and her brothers, Thomas Harley Mohlmaster and Bryan Keith Mohlmaster I.
Karen leaves her husband, Dennis Grund, whom she married on April 17, 1993; her daughter Heather (John) Rebeck; her son Justin (Almeda) Grund; her mother Patricia Mohlmaster; grandchildren, Thea, Joseph and Evan; siblings, Ronald C. (Mary Jo) Mohlmaster II, Reese (Cathy) Mohlmaster and Carole (Mark) Smith; and sisters-in-law, Michele Mohlmaster, Lisa Ann Mohlmaster and Rinda Grund; brothers-in-law Mike (Edith) Grund and Greg (Lori) Grund and several nieces and nephews, whom she loved very much.
Funeral services will be Monday, October 25, 2021 at 3:00PM at Church on the Boulevard, 754 Kenmore Blvd. Akron, OH. 44314, with her brother, Pastor Ronald C. Mohlmaster II officiating. Calling hours will be Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 2:00-4:00PM at Bissler and Sons Funeral Home, 628 W. Main St. Kent, OH 44240 and one hour prior to the service, from 2:00-3:00PM on Monday at the church
