Kathleen (Kane) Petrovic

Kathleen Petrovic, 91, of Kent, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.  She was born in Youngstown, OH on February 19, 1933 to the late Francis and Florence Kane.  Kathleen earned her Bachelors Degree from St. Louis University, her Masters Degree from Case Western Reserve University and Nursing Degree from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing.  She taught nursing at Kent State University for 25 years.  Kathleen was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and loved spending time with her family.  She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Petrovic; mother Rosemary Kane and her sister, Sister Mary Irene Kane.

She leaves her son Joseph (Tom Paolicelli) Petrovic; daughter Mary (Joseph) Rinaldi; grandchildren, Michael, Andrew, Francis and Carolyn Rinaldi; siblings, Ann (Howard, dec.) Laubert, John Kane, Edward (Carol) Kane, Susan Kane, Christine Kane and James (Patti) Kane; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30PM on SATURDAY, March 2, 2024 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 313 N. Depeyster St. Kent, OH 44240, with the Rev. Fr. David Bridling as Celebrant.  Interment will follow at Standing Rock Cemetery.  Calling hours will be FRIDAY from 5:00-7:00PM at Bissler and Sons Funeral Home, 628 W. Main St. Kent, OH 44240.
