Kathryn Eileen (Hahn) Burgess

October 5, 1923 — February 5, 2021

Kathryn Eileen (Hahn) Burgess passed away February 5th, 2021 after a full and beautiful life.

Born in Kent October 5th, 1923 to Roscoe and Ella (Luikart) Hahn, graduated from Kent State University High School in 1941, and attended Kent State University where she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority.

Kathryn and her father were both accomplished private pilots and logged many hours in their Stinson.  She also helped manage the family business, Hahns Bakery and Fine Foods Inc. and Hahns Captn Brady Restaurant.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for over 70 years.

She loved nature and cherished the summers spent at the family cottage at Bobs Lake, Ontario where many happy times with friends and family and great memories were made.

Kathryn loved reading, music, art, fishing, card games and her animals. Most of all, she loved traveling with her beloved children and soulmate, husband Keith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and Ella, her brothers, Fred and Kenneth, and her husband Keith after 53 years of marriage.  She is survived by her daughter, Susan, sons, John Kelly and Michael Scott (Natalia); step-daughter, Linda (Terry) Anderson, step-son, Craig; granddaughters, Olenka Burgess and Sara (Kevin) Fisher, and great-grandsons, Aiden and Liam.

Cremation has taken place by her request. The family will be planning a Celebration of her Life Memorial to take place in the near future and will advise family and friends once that is arranged.
