Kathryn “Kay” Mishler, 98, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 27, 2021.
She was born to Charles and Margaret (Weyer) Vaughan in Twinsburg, Ohio on June 18, 1923. She was raised on a farm in Mantua, Ohio where she graduated from Mantua Center School in 1942. She was a veteran, serving in the Navy during WW2.
In 1948 Kay married Louis Mishler. They made their home in Mantua until moving to Chagrin Falls, Ohio where they raised their children as well as fostered others. Eventually they moved back to Mantua. After Louis passed away, Kay resided in Ravenna and Kent. She retired from General Electric.
Kay was predeceased by her husband Louis, her brothers Charles and James Vaughan, sisters Ina (Clarence) Miller, Esther (Chuck) Casper and infant sister Irene.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Larry Mishler, Kathy (Ralph) Graham, and sisters Dorothy (Ramon) Collier and Marion (Frank) McKinley, grandchildren Jamie (Rose) Mishler, Ben (Jessica) Mishler, Kristy (Paul) Stoicoiu, Kelly (Greg) Richmond, Corey (Ashley) Graham along with 13 great grandchildren.
Kay requested no calling hours. Private burial will be at WestLawn Cemetery in Mantua. Arrangements are being made by Bissler Funeral Home.
Special thanks goes to the staff at Kent Ridge Assisted Living Facility who took such good care of her for the past five years and for the help of Traditions Hospice.
