Keith Stephens, born in Ravenna, Ohio, age 55, from Kent, Ohio passed away on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024.
Keith Stephens graduated from Kent Roosevelt High School as well as many welding schools. He was a very hard worker all his life. He was an iron worker for over 25 years and was part of local 17. He struggled with addiction for a very long time and went through many hardships; many of which he brought on himself, as he’d tell you if he were here. But through the power of God and alcoholics anonymous, as well as a lot of hard work, he made it out the other side and into a better life. He helped so many people because of sobriety. Honestly too many to count in one lifetime. He worked hard to make amends and right his wrongs, and because of that he received forgiveness from all those that he loved and loved him. He was a Sundancer and pipe carrier. He Sun danced for 9 years, and Eagle danced for 7 years. As a mortal man he was close to God, and he loved to pray. He loved motorcycles, Harleys especially. He was a tinkerer and fixer of many things. He loved hunting and guns, and I would definitively say he was a gun enthusiast. He was a hardy and enthusiastic man who had a love and thirst for all things in life. He was loved by many, and he loved back even harder. He died a sober man of 12 years. A great and wonderful man who will be missed.
He is survived by his daughter, Jenna Stephens; life partner, Jennifer Wheat and children Dylan, Kayla, and Logan; biological mother, Sandra Berisford; Three brothers, Roger, Dale, and Terry; Three sisters, Debbie, Tassy, and Tylene as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Irene Stephens; father, Cape Stephens; and his brother Rodney.
