Kenneth Bailey

September 27, 1939 — November 2, 2020

Kenneth M. Bailey passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on Nov 2,2020. He lived a full life of 81 years. He was born in Chardon, Ohio on Sept 27, 1939 and served his country in the United States Marines. Afterwards, he tried his hand at owning an appliance store, driving tow trucks for Hogarth's, and then working for Crucible Steel before retiring there. He found retirement was not for him and went on to work several years for the Record Courier delivering newspapers.

Ken enjoyed meeting people and making them laugh.  He loved wordfind puzzles and collected vanity plates for family and friends to see. He always told family "Love you more" when ending a conversation. Anyone who knew him knew he was a loving and caring man.

Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marilyn Lord; Ken is survived by his cherished wife, Donna, of 58 years; two daughters, Karen (Matt) Chilson and Jocelyne (Brian) Lucas; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sister, Carol Anderson; and brother, Brian Bailey.

There are no public services at this time. Ken will be laid to rest at Hambden Township Cemetery. A public Celebration of Life will be held in the summer of 2021. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ken’s name be made to AMVETS: the American Veterans Association, 4647 Forbes Blvd. Lanham, MD 20706 .

Services entrusted to Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, Kent, OH 44240.
