Kenneth C. Hecker, 83, of Brimfield, died Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at Akron City Hospital.
He was born June 5, 1934 in Youngstown to Herbert Carl and Olive Emily (Reddinger) Hecker. He was a research chemist for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Kent. He and his wife were active with Kelso House in Brimfield. He loved traveling, camping, photography and woodworking.
He is survived by sons, Randy (Rhonda) Hecker of Mogadore, Kevin (Cindy) Hecker of Lewis Center, and Brad (Jennifer) Hecker of Powell; grandchildren, Andy (Julie) Paratore, Dustin (Brittany) Hecker, Brian (Brittany) Hecker, Stacy (Luke) Wills, and Elise Hecker; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Hecker in 2013.
