Lamarre L. Poole Jr.

Lamarre Poole “Larry”, former longtime resident of Kent, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, following a determined battle with a long term illness.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Lamarre Poole Sr and Evelyn Poole of Kent and his sisters Barbara White and Sallie Gonos.

He will be deeply missed by his daughters, Samantha “Sam” Poole and Amanda “Mandy” (Shaun) Finney; grandson Quinn Finney; sister Kay Wirick; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Larry was a 1965 graduate of Kent Roosevelt High School.  He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1966-1970.  He was a retired electrician and enjoyed home remodeling and yard projects.  Curious and determined by nature, no project seemed too big for him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, November 13, 2023 at Bissler and Sons Funeral Home, 628 W. Main St. Kent, OH 44240.  Visitation will begin at 10:00AM followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00AM.  Burial will follow at Standing Rock Cemetery.
