Lester Earl Krebs, a WWII Army vet fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was a member of The Greatest Generation gave his final salute July 4, 2017. He was born in Loudonville, OH to Swiss immigrants Albert & Lina Krebs on March 18th 1919 and is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Josephine [nee] Skibiski. He will be sorrowfully missed by his family; sons Earl Krebs and Karen [Shaffer] of Ravenna, David Krebs and Lin [Bevington] of Ravenna, and daughter Diane Krebs of Charlotte NC, four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and extensive family from his 13 siblings. He was employed by the Lawson Milk Company from 1950 to 1976 when he retired to enjoy his outdoor passion of tree work. He is the hardest working man we have ever known. How lucky are we to have known someone that it is so hard to say goodbye to.
