Margaret "Linda" Hall, 63, of Kent, passed away on Tuesday, February 19th at the Cleveland Clinic due to complications from liver disease.
Linda was born on October 1, 1949, in Meyersdale, PA to Simon "Bill" and Patricia (Imler) Lee. She attended Riggs Lamar Beauty School after high school, working in a local beauty salon before starting her own business, Linda Hall Designs, in downtown Kent.
She and her husband, Tom, were married for 30 years and made their home in Twin Lakes. Linda enjoyed spending time with her loved ones at their family cottage at Gun Lake, Michigan. Linda and her family had many wonderful parties and family dinners at the Twin Lakes Country Club. She really enjoyed watching golf, but always said that she had too much respect for the game to take it up herself. She especially looked forward to watching the Masters every year. One of the highlights of her life was the year that she and Tom went to Augusta to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. They spent two days walking the course and watching the tournament practice rounds. Linda always loved cooking meals for her family and working in her yard. Known for her bright smile and warm personality, she prided herself on being a loving mother to her children and a caring support to their friends and family. Linda spent many years volunteering for hospice care and was at her happiest when helping others.
Linda is survived by her husband, Tom, whom she married on September 25, 1982; her children, Lindsay (Joe) Carter of Stow and Porter of Berkeley, CA; her three grandchildren, Ella, Ava, & Lyla Carter; and sister: Janet (Tim) Campana of Milan, OH;. She was loved and will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Patty Lee, and her sister, Donna Rae Lee, who passed in infancy.
Calling hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday, February 22nd at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory in Kent where funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 23rd with Pastor Rick McKee officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial donations be made in Linda's name to the RMH Foundation-Hospice, POB 1204, Ravenna, OH 44266-1204.
