Lois Cathena (Head) Little, passed away in her home after a long illness on November 3, 2015.
Lois was born November 28, 1927 in Kent, Ohio to Upshaw and Ossie (Wood) Head. She graduated from Kent Roosevelt High School in 1945 and attended Kent State University for two years and left to marry Wilber (Wib) Little in 1948.
Lois was a very vibrant woman who had no problem expressing her views. She was very civic minded and worked as an election inspector on Election Day because she felt strongly about the right to vote.
She was a retiree from Ametek Lamb Electric. She was a life member of Union Baptist Church in Kent and a founding member of the Women's Social Club of Kent. She worked several years on the Church Women United Board. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and also worked at the County Clothing Center for many years. Lois enjoyed bowling and golfing.
Lois leaves to celebrate her life: her sons, Neil Little and Steven Little of Kent; her grandsons, Rueben Asher, Jeremy Little and Anthony Little; seven great grandchildren; sister, Gladys Watts of Kent;, brother, Frank (Hedy) Head of Ravenna; brother in law, Clarence Watts of Kent; and seven nieces and two nephews; as well as a host of other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilber Little; sisters, Ann Thomas and Willie Watts; brother in law, Charles Watts; as well as her nephew, Linnell Kinds Jr.
A Memorial Service will be held at Union Baptist Church on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 1:00 with Rev. Willie C. Watts officiating. In lieu of flowers please send contributions to the Alzheimer's Association C/o Alzheimer's Research, 70 W. Streetsboro Street, Suite 201, Hudson, OH 44236.
