Lori Ann Mastroine

Lori Mastroine, 59, passed away peacefully in her home in Kent, OH, on November 10, 2024, surrounded by loving family. 

Born on September 29, 1965, in Ravenna, Lori touched the lives of many through her kindness, intelligence, resilience, and unwavering dedication to her family and community.

Lori was a cherished member of her community, admired for her generous spirit and her remarkable adaptability. Her deep love for family and tradition shone through in all she did, and she was a constant source of support and encouragement for her loved ones. Equally devoted to her career, Lori served as an elementary school teacher, where her dedication and insight left a lasting impact on early childhood education and inspired countless young learners.

Lori was a devoted wife to Shawn Mastroine, her husband of 31 years, and a beloved mother to two children, Austin and Alec. Lori is also survived by her brother, Greg, sister-in-law, Shari, and was a proud aunt to 16 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale Morter and Ruth (Weaver) Morter. Her legacy of love and dedication will live on through her family, friends, and the countless lives she touched.

A service to honor Lori’s life will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Grandview Memorial Park, 5400 Lakewood Rd., Ravenna, Ohio, with Rev. Bernard Christy officiating. Following the service, family and friends are invited to a celebration of life at the Mastroine residence, 807 Dominion Drive Kent, Ohio 44240.
