Lorraine Mae Knapp (Largo), 90, passed away on December 18, 2017, surrounded by the loving family she tirelessly and patiently raised. Born in Akron on March 27, 1927, to James and Laura Largo, she was adopted and raised by her adoring Uncle Bill and Aunt Ann Largo.
She married Albert E. Knapp on June 7, 1947 in Akron. Lorraine and Albert raised a family of 11 children while playing bocce, bingo, bridge, and many other card games. Lorraine was a savvy canasta player and taught not only her children but most of her grandchildren the game.
Lorraine is predeceased by her husband, Albert E. Knapp, her grandson Joshua Adam Knapp, and recently by her son, Richard E. Knapp. She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her children, Bob (Mary) Knapp, Marty Knapp, Al (Deb) Knapp, Kelly Knapp, Bill (Karen) Knapp, Cindy (Bill) Woodside, Annette (John) Alboreo, Laura (Joe) Procaccio, Janice (Mark) Juszczec and Jeanne (Walt) Drabiak; daughter-in-law, Linda Knapp; 19 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held 5-8 PM Friday, December 22nd at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 23rd at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2643 Waterloo Road, Mogadore (Randolph). Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
