Louis Anthony Penzera, 76, of Rootstown, died Monday, January 15, 2018, at UH Portage Medical Center.
He was born October 5, 1941 in Greensburg, PA to Anthony and Mary (Emanuel) Penzera. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and his Harley's. Louie loved to travel and spend time with his family. He loved to play the guitar and was a member of the "New Direction" band. Louie was a truck drive for Ray Pander Trucking for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly (McElroy) Penzera, whom he married on May 31, 1961; sons, Richard (Tammy) Penzera of Rootstown and Randy (Rita Shaffer) Penzera of Ravenna; grandchildren, Richard Young, Amanda (Chad Palmer) Penzera, Brandi (Tim) Archer and Toni Penzera; great grandchildren, Kaycie, Giovonni, Claire and Waylon; sisters, Janice (Tom) Mikan of Jeannette, PA and Marlene; brother-in-law, Melvin (Peggy) McElroy of Florida; sister-in-law, Shelly Moore of Kent; and nephew, Brandon Klembus. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Mary Penzera; sisters, Carol Armstrong and Angeline Penzera; brother, Donald Penzera; and granddaughter, Shauna Young.
Calling hours will be held 11-1 PM Saturday, January 20 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent, where Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jason Moore officiating.
