Luella G. "Polly" Snyder, 91, of Kent, died Sunday, October 15, 2006 at Robinson Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 9, 1915, in Binghamton, New York to Fred J. and Effie R. (Brown) Mayo. She was employed by Lamb Electric retiring in 1980. She was a member of member of the Kent Church of the Nazarene, enjoyed traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by son, Glen Snyder of Kent; daughter, Nancy K.(Gordon) Watters of El Paso, Texas; granddaughters, Holly (Karl) Yurchiak of Wadsworth and Sherri Rutan of Geneva; grandsons, Matthew (Liliana) Watters of El Paso, Texas, Wayne A. Watters of Austin, Texas, and Richard J.(Yesenia) Watters of Dallas, Texas; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Snyder in 1993; and parents, Fred and Effie J. (Brown) Mayo.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. James Trippett officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent. Memorial contributions may be made to Nazarene Church of Kent, 1972 Summit Road, Kent, OH 44240.
