Malcolm G. 'Gary' Blanchard, 81, of Kent, died Sunday, June 11, 2017, at UH Portage Medical Center, after a long battle with congestive heart failure.
He was born May 1, 1936 in Cadiz, to Noah and Martha (Strother) Blanchard. He was a member of the Ravenna Avenue Church of God. Malcolm retired from Chrysler after 44 years of service.
He is survived by daughter, Rayetta Willis of Sacramento, CA; son, Kevin Wayne Blanchard of Fullerton, CA; grandchildren, Porscha (White) Barclay of Sacramento, CA, Cameron Willis of New York, NY and Adrian Blanchard of Fullerton, CA; brother, Dwayne Blanchard of Columbus; sisters, Sylvia Blanchard and Esther Wallace both of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary (O'Neil) Blanchard; brothers, Noah, Gregory and Marvin Blanchard; sisters, Linda Blanchard and Sue Christian.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, June 22 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Derrick Kendrick officiating, where calling hours will be held from 11 AM until the time of service. Burial will be held at Standing Rock Cemetery.
