Margie Faye Homer (nee West) passed away peacefully on December 22, 2023 at the age of 88 due to complications from Covid. Waiting to greet her at heavens gate was her loving husband of 55 years, John Homer, son Randy J. Homer, parents Tom and Ida West, brothers Vernon, Tommy, Marvin and Ted West and, of course, Elvis who she had very specific and detailed personal memories of.
She is survived by her son, Richard Homer; daughter, Janet (Jim) Watson; daughter-in-law, Cindy Homer; grandchildren, Kay Homer Phelps, Amy Homer (Amanda Povraznik), John Gray Watson (Elizabeth Rosenberg) Elizabeth Watson-Corder (Scott), Christina Homer-Tuck (John Ponchak); and great grandsons, Declan and Ian Phelps; Brothers-in-laws, Jerry and Robert Homer.
Margie was very active in her church and community and was admired by many for her commitment to whichever project she was involved with from band boosters of the Royal Gardsman, to Brimfield Fire Departments “siren-aiders”, or sewing for the Ballet of Ohio. Margie put her whole heart into each and every project.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Margie asks that donations be made to Affinity Hospice or your favorite charity.
