Marguerite ("Maggi") Louise McGuigan (nee Weber), age 84, went to be with the Lord on January 18, 2010, at Robinson Memorial Hospital. Born on August 7, 1925, to Raymond E. Weber and Nellie (Lemons) Weber, she attended Brady Lake School and Theodore Roosevelt High School, graduating in 1943. After being employed with then Portage County Prosecuting Attorney, George E. Martin, she was employed as a Court Reporter for the Portage County Municipal Court for thirty-four years before her retirement and was the recipient of the Portage County Bar Association's Public Servant Award and a member of the Portage County Legal Secretaries Association. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers George Weber and Albert Weber, twin sisters Mae and Marie, and husband John P. (Jack) McGuigan, Jr. She is survived by daughter Karen Brothers of Kent and son, Michael (Jill) McGuigan of Ravenna, grandchildren Griffith (Ronda) Sweet, Jr. of Ravenna, Lori (Todd) Klink of Kent, and Jonathon (Rebekah) McGuigan of Rootstown, step-grandchildren Lori Pittman of Kent and Robert (Ruth) Pittman of Ravenna, and great-grandchildren Lucas, Justin, and Jonathan Sweet, Colette, Casey, Aaren, and Isabella McGuigan, and step-great grandchildren Ryan, Robert, Raymond, Micah, and Caleb Pittman, and Patrick Montgomery. She was a member of the Lake Brady United Methodist Church and the Christian Women's Guild of the Church. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 21st, 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Bissler and Sons Funeral Home 628 West Main Street Kent. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, January 22nd, at Lake Brady United Methodist Church 1995 Brady Lake Road, Brady Lake, Ohio. Burial will follow at Standing Rock Cemetery.
