It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marilyn J. (Fahrer) Bryner on March 21, 2025.
Marilyn was preceded in death by Ralph Bryner, her husband of 58 years; son Scott Bryner; and sisters, Patty and Barbara Fahrer.
Marilyn is survived and missed by son David and daughter Kristy (Geoff Norcross), brother Jerry “Bud” Fahrer (Betty Fahrer) and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Marilyn was born to the late Harry and Mildred Fahrer on December 3, 1931, in Atwater, Ohio. A child of the depression, Marilyn moved frequently with her family as her father sought work. This led to a deep desire to find a home for the rest of her life. In 1957, Ralph - a bricklayer - built her a home in Brimfield that she would remain in for the rest of her days.
Marilyn loved and took great pride in the home that she created with Ralph and her three kids, but she also enjoyed the outside work she took on after the kids were in school. She was the head baker in the Brimfield Elementary School cafeteria and worked in the accounting department and bookstore at Northeast Ohio University College of Medicine.
She will be laid to rest next to Ralph and Scott at Restland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the Alzheimer’s Association.
