Marjory Willoughby

Marjory Willoughby, age 99, formally of Stow, died on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Enclave of Newell Creek in Mentor.

She was born in Windsor, Ontario Canada, September 21, 1921 and became an American Citizen in 1947. Following graduation from Lake Erie College, Marjory served in the United States Navy in World War II, retiring with the rank of Lt. Commander.

Marjory returned to Cleveland as Advertising Manager for Stouffer Restaurants, Advertising and Personnel Manager for Zappone Restaurants in Holiday Inns and retired from the Lake Erie Girl Scout Council as Business Manager in 1987.

She was a resident of Stow, Ohio for 26 years. Marjory was a member of the Stow Presbyterian Church and a volunteer for several years at the Cuyahoga National Park. She was a longtime member of the Stow Historical Society and Editor of it’s newsletter for seven years.

She is survived by two nephews, Jeffrey Winer and Jonathan Winer, niece, Ellen Winer, two great nieces, Alyssa Winer and Katie Winer, great-nephew Jared Winer and great-great nephew Grayson Winer.
