Mark Thomas Spieth

Our beloved Mark Thomas Spieth, age 39, a cherished son, brother, and uncle, found peace on April 2nd, 2025 after a long battle with depression and anxiety.

He was born on his mother’s birthday on October 1, 1985 in Akron, OH. He was a loving son to Edward and Kathleen, an amazing brother to Becky Rittman and Kevin (Vickie), and most notably a loving and supportive uncle to Kai, Ben, Elliot, and Owen.

He grew up in Mentor, OH and graduated from Mentor High School in 2004. Mark was known for his kindness, his sense of humor, and his unwavering support for his family. Everyone, including friends, family, and coworkers, always enjoyed his company. He would want to be remembered most by his niece and nephews for always being the fun uncle: goofing around, piggyback rides, camping trips, family trips, and playing video games with them. Mark enjoyed spending his time reading, watching movies, and playing video games. He will be missed dearly by all family and friends.

A celebration of Mark's life will be held at Bissler and Sons Funeral Home, 628 W. Main St. Kent, OH 44240, on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at 3:00PM. Visitation will be prior to the service from 2:00-3:00pm at the funeral home. A private burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Valley City, OH.
