Mark I-Tao Tang, 73, of Cuyahoga Falls, died suddenly from a heart attack Thursday, November 23, 2017. He was in exceptionally good spirits after enjoying a special Thanksgiving evening with his family.
He was born January 20, 1944 in China, to En Lai and Fu Pin (Pan) Tang. He loved to learn, educate and travel. Mark enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid reader, being well versed in almost every subject. His passion was renovating older homes to improve Cuyahoga Falls neighborhoods.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth (Rawson) (Caskey) Tang, whom he married on January 26, 1973; son, Philip (Sally) Caskey of Lexington; daughters, Linda (Roger) Miles of Kent and Diana (Michael) Sponsler of Syracuse, NY; grandchildren, David (Laura Knight) Luscre of Green, Michelle (Matt Morgan) Luscre of South Euclid, Erica (Nathanial Weiss) Sponsler of Seattle, WA and Angela Sponsler of Seattle, WA, Kelly Montero of Hilliard and Michael (Emily Burns) Stearns of Mansfield; four great grandchildren; sisters, Chian (Robert) Chiang of Basking Ridge, NJ, and Tina (Brian Hu) Tang of Falls Church, VA, nieces, Jennifer Chu (Chris) Chien of Falls Church, VA and Karen Chu of San Francisco, CA; nephews, Alan Chiang of Jersey City, NJ and Brian (Jane) Chiang of Jersey City, NJ. He was preceded in death by his parents, En Lai and Fu Pin (Pan) Tang.
