Martha J. (Meloy) Miller

Martha J. Miller, 88, of Kent, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Tamarack Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation.  She was born in Kent on August 12, 1935 to the late Clifford and Madeline Meloy and was a 1953 graduate of Kent Roosevelt High School.  Martha was employed as a secretary for several years, including ten years at Kent State University.  She enjoyed camping and crafts, especially knitting and embroidery.  She was a member of Trinty Lutheran Church and Club ’53.  Martha will be deeply missed and never forgotten by those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald S. Miller on December 20, 2012 and her four siblings.

Martha leaves her children, Valerie (Jeff Bernish) Miller, Donald “Craig” Miller, Scott (Maria) Miller, Connie (Michael) Monds and Brian (Lisa) Miller; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, July 29, 2024 from 10:00-11:00AM at Bissler and Sons Funeral Home, 628 W. Main St. Kent, OH 44240.  Graveside services will be Monday at 12:00PM at Grandview Memorial Park, 5400 Lakewood Rd. Ravenna, OH 44266.
