Mary Jeanne Casamento, 92, passed away on February 25, 2022. Mary Jeanne (Knapp) Casamento, was beckoned from this earth to joyfully transition into the arms of Jesus, her Lord and Savior. Jeanne, as she was affectionately called, was born December 5, 1929 in Ravenna Ohio to the late Herbert and Margaret Wise Knapp, one of six very close, loving siblings.
She had a strong belief in God and was a life-long member of Immaculate Conception Church of Ravenna Ohio. She graduated from Ravenna High School and was a devoted bank teller in Ravenna and later manager of the Hospitality gift shop/snack bar at Robinson Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed knitting and skillfully supplied family, extended family and friends with her brilliant masterpieces. She enjoyed volunteering and was asked to run for council in Brady Lake, where she was very involved in the community.
She leaves to celebrate her life, legacy, and memory, her surviving family, son, Joe Casamento; daughters, Michelle Casamento Profio, Carol Howald (Brian), Janet Casamento Stuehr (Eric); 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; sister Peggy (Bill) Lynch and brothers Denny (Marge) Knapp and Rich (Fran) Knapp. A beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews and Godmother to several.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Russell Joseph; son Rocky; daughter Kathy Casamento; grandson Jimmy Watson; great granddaughter Addison Lee; sister Elanor (George) Martin and brothers Francis “Bud” and Walter.
