Mary Louise Lauck

Mary Louise Lauck, 81, of Kent, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025. She was born in Mantua Center, OH on February 25, 1943. Mary was an accomplished seamstress and could sew anything. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking and riding motorcycles. She was a member of Connect Church, Parents Without Partners and Singles Mingles. She loved family gatherings and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Charles Roeding Lauck on January 13, 2004; her father Clinton Crowe; mother Madeline Sloey; stepfather Harry Sloey; son John Supel; grandson Ryan Mangus; sisters, Julie Bonner, Wanda Thornton and Vanessa Moore; and her brother Robert Crowe.

She leaves her sons, Frederick (Debbie) Lauck and Charles M. Lauck; daughter Merna “Leigh” (Barry) Hill; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; brothers Clinton (Marilyn) Crowe and Louis (Jill) Sloey; and her special friend Fred Ullrich.

In honoring her wishes, Mary will be cremated and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 11:00AM at Bissler and Sons Funeral Home, 628 W. Main St. Kent, OH 44240. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00-11:00AM on Saturday at the funeral home. The family asks that everyone in attendance, please wear purple to honor Mary. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
