Mary Ellen Palmer, 77, of Brimfield, passed away peacefully Friday, September 15, 2017, at her home, with her family by her side.
She was born April 12, 1940 in Sunderland, England, to Ephraim and Ann (Watson) Jobling. Mary retired from 7-Up Bottling Company. She enjoyed her morning trips to the Brimfield Steak House, gardening, camping and trips to the casino.
She is survived by sons, Charles W. (Rose) Palmer Jr. of Kent and David C. (Lorrey) Palmer of Brimfield; daughter, Phyllis A. Palmer of Brimfield; grandchildren, Amanda (Dave) Senn of Kent and Chad (Amanda) Palmer of Kent; great grandchildren, AnnaRose Palmer Senn and Charles Waylon Palmer; sister, Margaret Hanson of Blanchardville, WI; and sister-in-law, Ruth Jobling of Canada. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Palmer Sr.; parents, Ephraim and Ann Jobling; brothers, George and Michael Jobling.
The family would like to thank very special caregiver, Hellen Banks; Lori and Diane of Absolute Hospice; special friend, Jeanne Carter; and all of Mary's neighbors for their kind and loving care.
Calling hours will be held 4-7 PM Thursday, September 21 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent, followed by a service at 7 PM. Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, September 22 at Restland Cemetery with Chief Robert Rasnick officiating.
