Mary E. Schilmiller, 98, of Brimfield, died Monday, November 20, 2017, at her home.
She was born September 16, 1919 in Elizabeth, IN to Edward J. and Pearl (Hart) Schilmiller. Mary was a member of St. Patrick Church in Kent and sang in the choir, the National Education Association, Ohio Education Association and Euclid Teacher Association. Mary received her Bachelor's degree from Kent State University and taught Special Education in the Macedonia, Stow and Euclid Schools for 50 years. She was a Rosie the Riveter working on airplanes during World War II. Mary enjoyed gardening, reading and living on the family farm.

She is survived by brother, Larry (Peach) Schilmiller of Brimfield; sister, Audra Fogel of Caldwell; brother-in-law, Harold (Mary) Miller of Cuyahoga Falls; sister-in-law, Faye Schilmiller of Villa Park, IL; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Don Schilmiller; sister, Greta Miller; and brother-in-law, Al Fogel.
Funeral mass will be Saturday, November 25th at St. Patrick's Church, where calling hours will be held from 10 AM until the time of the funeral mass at 11 AM. Burial will be held at Standing Rock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Patrick Church, 313 N. DePeyster Street, Kent, OH 44240.
