Max G. Wilcox Jr., 85, of Stow, died Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Stow Glen Retirement Center.
He was born May 21, 1929 in Cambridge Springs, PA to Max G. and Irene (Stressing) Wilcox. Max was a retired engineer for Goodyear Aerospace (Loral). He was a member of Rockton Lodge #316 F&AM, the Shriners, and PWP, where he served was a Past President. He also loved working in his yard and garden, hunting and fishing. He took up golf upon retirement thirty years ago. Because of his humor, he will be remembered as having never met a stranger.
He is survived by son, Max (Sharon) Wilcox III of Lakeland, FL; daughters, Linda (Randy) Hull of Carrollton, Diana (Greg) Leysock of Stow, and Ruth Tracy of Ravenna; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and half-brother, Spencer Wilcox of Meadville, PA. He was preceded in death by his thirteen year old sister, Elaine Wilcox.

Calling hours will be held 5-7 PM Wednesday, October 1st at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent. The Masonic services will be held at 7:00 PM.
