Michele Ann Sibbio (Ross) passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018 after a long and exhausting battle with lung and heart disease. Michele, born December 22,1947 to Charles and Olga Ross (Lichtenberger), was welcomed into God's loving arms as her husband John, who passed July 6, 2010, stood waiting for her.
Michele grew up in Firestone Park and attended Central Hower High School graduating in 1965 from the cosmetology program and worked as a hairdresser for several years. She met John at the young age of 14 and married him on August 28, 1965. Michele and John had a lifelong love of family, baseball and the flooring business. Baseball made their life interesting, traveling all over the Midwest making so many friends and sharing their lives with others.
Over their 45 years of marriage, they welcomed two children; Charles "Steve" (Michelle) Sibbio and Rochelle "Shelly" Sibbio and subsequently were blessed with grandchildren Andrew John (Samantha Huffman) Fisher, Antonio Dante Sibbio, Giovanni Dominic Sibbio, and Camile Carol Fisher the absolute loves of their lives.
While John might have been Brimfield's Secret Santa Claus, that all started because Michele decided one year for her birthday there wasn't anything, she could ever want that he could buy her and chose to start sharing their wealth with those who needed it. They worked with the Brimeld Police Dept. and Fire Dept. to provide meals and toys to families in the community. Michele continued this tradition after John's passing and her grandchildren helped her shop and deliver the gifts.
Michele loved the beach and slot machines and relished in the trips to Cabo San Lucas, Cancun, Nassau, Atlantic City and Las Vegas. Always coming home with a few extra dollars in her pocket she was sure to use it to buy something for someone else or treat herself with a pair of shoes. Holidays and Sunday dinners, surrounded with extended family and friends always landed Michele in the kitchen where she whipped up the absolute best food from "unwritten" recipes from the German Hungarian side of her family, to the Italian meals everyone loved. She was an avid Food Network enthusiast and would try just about any recipe she could get the ingredients for.
Calling hours will be held 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM Monday, November 12, 2018 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent, where Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 13, 2018, with Fr. Richard Pentello officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
