Muriel Cooper Bolitho

Muriel Ann Bolitho, 84, of Brimfield, passed away Friday, July 6, 2012 at Akron City Hospital.

She was born July 10, 1927 in Akron, to Carl Page and Leota Muriel (Baker) Cooper.

Muriel attended Kent State High School and worked in the food service area of both Kent State University and Field High School, before leaving to raise her family, pets, and attend to her vegetable and flower gardens. She was active in the community and spent untold hours researching her family's genealogy, reaching as far back as the Mayflower.

She is survived by her daughter: Catherine (Albert) Rolland of Poland, OH; Grandchildren; Albert (Val) Rolland of Wadsworth; Kevin (Candy) Rolland of Poland, Dana (Greg) North of Norton; great grandchildren, Megan, Michael, North, Justis, Mariah, Aaliyha Rolland, Tiffany Jackson; great great grandchild, Alaura Hoist, Christian Jackson, and dearest friend, Nancy Francis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John James Bolitho, sister, Rosalind Nash, and niece, Nancy Nash.

The family wishes to sincerely thank Dr. Z. , the nurses and staff of Akron City Hospital ICU and Palliative Care Units as well as the staff at Altercare of Brimfield for their care, concern , and professionalism these past weeks.

Calling hours will be held 6-8 PM Monday, July 9th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home 628 West Main Street, Kent, where funeral services will be held
Tuesday, July 10th at 11am, with Rev. Heather C. Wicks officiating. Burial will be held at Restland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Hospital, Attn: Memorial Department, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
