Nancy Jo Howe

Nancy Jo Howe ,65, passed away at her home on June 17,2020.


She was born November 29, 1954 to Bernard & the late Dorothy Dalton.


Nancy grew up in Akron but moved to Brimfield her junior year of high school. After graduating Field High School, she stayed in the Kent area.


On Christmas Eve 1993, Nancy saw a man that she thought had the most gorgeous blue eyes. She married that man at the ocean in Ocean City, MD in 1997. They built their life together in Brady Lake. After retiring from the corporate offices of Jo-Ann Stores, Inc.,  Nancy enjoyed being able to sit at her home, viewing the lake everyday.


In addition to her father & his companion Donna Cooke, she is survived by her husband, Steve Howe. Her only daughter, Nicole Dalton. Grandchildren Joe (Taylor) Gibbs & Jazmin Wallace. Sister Camilla (Jerry) Taylor. Nephews James (Deanna) & Matt (Taylor) Taylor. Great niece Molly Taylor as well as numerous aunts, uncles & cousins.
She is preceded in death by her mother,  brother Richard Dalton, sister Kathy Dalton, son in law Dennis Wallace, along with aunts, uncles & cousins.
Nancy inherited more family when she married Steve. This includes his son Patrick (Shirley) Howe & their children Cayden & Haven. Father, the late George Howe, Brothers George (Jane) & the late Tracy (Kathy) Howe, Sister Shannon (Bob) Mooney & many nieces & nephews.


Nancy’s wishes was to not have any services but a celebration of life. This will take place at a later date.


The family would like to thank Crossroads Hospice for the care they gave Nancy during her last few days.
