Nancy E Mitchell

Nancy E. Mitchell, 77, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 in Kent, Ohio. She was born on October 8, 1946, in Oklahoma City to Hudon and Lorena (Schuler) Mitchell.

Following graduation from College High School in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, she earned academic degrees at Northeastern (Oklahoma) State University, the University of Oklahoma, and the University of Iowa. Nancy retired after 37 years at Kent State University, serving as a faculty member in Communication Studies and as an administrator in both the College of Fine and Professional Arts and in the College of the Arts.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Donna Moody. She is survived by sister Dianne Juby of Springfield, Missouri, and by brother-in-law Floyd Moody and niece Theresa Schultz and family, all of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Services will be held at a later time in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Memorial donations may be made to Portage Animal Protective League, P.O.
