Olive L. "Polly" Wagner, 92, of Kent, died Sunday, February 7, 2016 at her home.
She was born October 29, 1923 in Cleveland to Percival and Ada (Whittington) Luton. She was a veteran of the Women's Army Corps during World War II. She will be remembered for her love of animals, reading and doing puzzles. She was known for her strength and positive attitude; and for her love of family.
She is survived by sons, Charles Wagner of Ft. Wayne, IN, Paul Wagner of Enid, OK, and Richard (Lisa) Wagner of Freedom; daughters, Sally (Jack) Streets of Buckhannon, WV, Heidi Rockwell of Ravenna, and Michele (Anthony) Battaglia of Kent; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; long-time best friend, Audrey Taylor; and her faithful companion, Ting. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wagner in 1963; brother, Arthur Luton; and sisters, Florence Brosius and Edith Krasovec.
Calling hours will be held 4-6 PM Friday, February 12th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent followed by funeral services at 6:00 PM with Rev. Jack Streets officiating.
