Patricia Anne Hoskin, 65, of Stow, died Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Stow Glen Retirement Center.
She was born October 20, 1946 in Cleveland, to Richard B. and Helen L. (Chadwick) Hoskin. Pat was a 1964 graduate of Rocky River High School. She went on to attend Hiram College where she received her undergraduate degree in 1968. While teaching she earned her Master's degree in Education from Kent State University. Pat was a Math teacher with the Kent City Schools for 30 years retiring in 2000. She then taught at Kent State Stark for 4 years. Pat was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Kent and Mantua Center Christian Church. She enjoyed reading books, sewing, cross stitching, playing cards, especially Bridge, and watching sports. Most of all, Pat loved to spend time with her family and friends.
She is survived by son, Scott (Tempa) Lawrence of South Euclid; daughter, Carol (Ben) Dunlap of Kent; grandchildren, Avery, Taylor, Aidan, Noah and Analeigh; brothers, Mike (Patricia L.) Hoskin of Burton and Bob (Chris) Hoskin of Warren, PA; and sister, Nancy Hoskin of Chagrin Falls.
Calling hours will be held 5-8 PM Friday, February 10th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory in Kent. A Memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 11th at First Christian Church with Rev. Dennis Wendling officiating.
