Paul Howard Somerville, 87, died Jan. 19, 2010 at his home. He was born in Westover, Pa. on November. 12, 1922. Having served his country as a Sgt in the Army Air Corps during WWII, Paul was a tail-gunner in B-17's and eventually settled in Kent in 1952 to raise his family in a town he loved. He was a Union Carpenter and a 58 year member of Carpenter Local #639. He was also a member of Rockton Masonic Lodge F&AM #316,Tadmor Shrine, Royal Scottish Rite, Lifetime Member and Past Commander of American Legion Post #496,,Lifetime Member of VFW Post # 3703, Lifetime Member Kent Elks Lodge #1377, and member of FOPA Glen Kruger Lodge #9. He is survived by his daughters, Patricia (Joe) Horner of Kent and Blossom (Stephen) Molnar of Kent; grandchildren, Stephen (Laura) Molnar of Davison, Michigan and Christopher (Jennifer) Molnar of Shalersville; great grandchildren, Alana Marie and Juliet Elizabeth Molnar; and in-laws, Mike Stislow of FL, Phyllis Kitchen of Beaver, PA, and Hilda Somerville of Akron. He is preceded in death by wife of 60 years, Mildred Mae (Gallaher) Somerville; parents, Leda and Howard Somerville; siblings, Louise Stislow and James Somerville; in-laws, John and Dorothy Gallaher, Malcolm Gallaher, Dorothy Bowman, Frank and Alice Gallaher, and Raymond Kitchen; and nephew, Terry Kitchen. A Celebration of the lives of Millie and Paul Somerville will be held in May with details to follow at a later date.
