Gene Robert "Bob" Redmond, 91, of Kent, passed at his home which he built, Monday, May 18, 2015.
He was born April 21, 1924 in Kent, to Harvey and Ida M. (Parmalee) Redmond. He was a veteran of the Army serving in WW II. Bob worked at Lamson-Sessions as a draftsman then after WWII, as an apprentice carpenter with Everett Johnson and later as a carpenter for Sommerville Builders. He was a member of the Cuyahoga Valley Model Railroad Club and the Akron Railroad Club. He enjoyed trains and traveling. Bob was thrilled and honored to participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Harvey Redmond Bridge, which was named for his father, at Fred Fuller Park.
He is survived by his sons, Dave, Steven and Tom Redmond all of Kent; daughter, Nancy Redmond of Kent.
