Ralph A. Degennaro

March 17, 1968 — July 30, 2015

Ralph DeGennaro's horrific six-month battle with Bile Duct Cancer ended on July 30, 2015. He passed peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. He fought so hard to live because he loved his life, his family and his friends so much. Ralph was very passionate about his Boston Red Sox and Dallas Cowboys. He spent his life in the business that he loved, bowling. He was an avid bowler and he loved coaching his junior bowlers. Ralph's incredible sense of humor will be forever missed by hundreds whom he made laugh with every encounter.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Donald L. Shallahamer on June 30, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Amy, whom he loved deeply; and amazing sons, Tim Shallahamer and Michael Edwards. Also, his father, Ralph C. DeGennaro; mother, Judi DeGennaro Judge (Greg); brother, Chris DeGennaro; sisters, Gina DeGennaro and Sherri DeGennaro; mother-in-law, Doris Shallahamer; and his adored niece and nephew, Alexa Hoyle and Frank Hoyle. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Don Shallahamer (Norma) and Mike Bauder (Lisa); sisters-in-law, Becky Thompson and Cheryl Genda; special nieces, Tina (Lee) Dunham and Amber Denker (Ben); nephew, Donny Shallahamer; close cousins, John Merlene (Peggy), Mark Merlene and Tami Kelcey; dear friends, Scott and Amanda Foos, Tre Harris, and his lifelong best friend, Henry Earle; alongside a host of other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends who loved him dearly and whom he loved just as much. The list is endless.

The family would like to send a very special heartfelt thank you to Dr. Terry Wagner for being beside him through this struggle, and all of #TeamRalph, who meant the world to him.

Calling hours will be Saturday, August 1, 2015 from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home with services at 1PM with Pastor Denny Fox officiating. Internment immediately following at Crown Hill Cemetery.
