Richard L. Brothers

Richard L. Brothers, 80, of Ravenna, passed away in the comfort of his home, on Thursday, July 11, 2024.  He was born in Ravenna on February 16, 1944 to the late Robert and Edith Brothers.  He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  Richard was employed as a heavy equipment operator for 37 years, retiring in 2001 and was a 60 year member of IOUE Local 18.  He was a car enthusiast and loved his hot rods.  He enjoyed taking his 1946 Ford to the dragstrip and loved going fast.  He will be deeply missed and always remembered by those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Barbara Weingart.

He leaves his loving wife Rebecca Brothers; children, Shonnie (Sean) Liston, Ryan Chenoweth, Rider Brothers and Melissa (Rob) Annen; granddaughter Victoria (Zach) Cook; sister Betty Cain and brother Greg Brothers.

Funeral services will be private for the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve.
